Geosynthetics as a new type of geotechnical material has been widely used in highway engineer- ing. Taking geosynthetics application in soft highway foundation engineering as an example, the author makes a detailed elaboration on geosynthetics function, classification, characteristics and practical engineering application overview, which can provide a reference for the peer.
