This paper specifies the important role that Shandong Peninsula plays in China＇ s maritime history from its huge contribution to the development of Chinese shipping history, the first shipping center area in Pre-Chin Peri- od, an important gateway for trading and culture exchanging between Japan and Korea, its effect to Chinese Ancient Canal Transport, in one word Shandong Peninsula played a very important role in Chinese maritime history.
