生命欲望的变态与张扬——《五魁》与《红高粱》比较

The Abnormality and Advocation of Life Desire——Comparison between the Novels Wu Kuiand Red Sorghum

莫言的《红高粱》与贾平凹的《五魁》是中国当代婚嫁题材小说的两朵奇葩,都讲述了婚嫁仪式的全过程。相同的题材表现不同的主题:一个表现原始生命力的张扬,一个叩问文化道德压抑下生命欲望的变态。它们都指向人的生命欲望和生命意识的思考,顺应了20世纪80年代文学的文化寻根热潮。两部小说中男女主人公殊途同归的命运体现出文化寻根小说对传统伦理道德扼杀人性的思想的批判,肯定原始生命力的张扬。

Mo Yan ＇ s＂Red Sorghum＂and Jia Ping-was＇＂Wu Kui＂are two exceptional contemporary novels about marriage and wedding, both describing the whole process of wedding ceremony. The novels express the same theme but different subject matters： one expresses the accentuation of primeval vitality,the oth- er depicts the abnormality of life desire repressed by traditional moral and culture. Either of both points to the life desire of human and reflects on life consciousness,conforming to the upsurge of seeking cul- tural roots in 1980s. The heroes and heroines in the two novels reach the same goal by different routes, their fates suggest the criticism towards traditional ethics and moral that strangle humanity by cultural root-seeking novels, upholding primeval vitality.
