A Study on the Changes of the World Expo Theme

世博会被誉为世界经济、科技和文化的"奥林匹克"。160年以来,世博会经历了由无主题向有主题的转变。世博会的主题主要围绕者自然环境、科学技术、发展进步与人的美好生活等方面进行选题,先后经历了"崇尚科技———追求发展与进步———关注自然环境———回归人(类)美好的生活"的变迁过程。科技是一个永恒的话题贯穿在发展与进步、自然环境和人类生活的各个环节,只是将科技由崇尚和追求的目的本身,转变成推动进步与发展、改善自然环境和提高人类生活水平的手段而已。世博会的主题变迁,充分诠释了"一切始于世博会"这句世博名言。

The World Expo is known as world economic, technological and cultural “Olympic”, and the Expo has developed from a themedless event to themed world festival during the 160 years. The theme of the World Expo is mainly centered on the natural environment, science and technology, development ＆ progress and people＇s life; its “sci- ence and technology”, “development and progress”, “natural environment”, “man＇s good life”. The paper argues that a- mong them, science and technology is an eternal topic detail of the natural environment and human life. The c throughout each phase of development and progress and every hanges of the World Expo theme best interpret the well-known saying about World Expo- “everything begins with the World Expo”.
