There are some problems in English teaching in higher vocational colleges. For instance, some students can not be motivated when the teachers dedicate themselves to imparting English knowledge. To solve the problems, it is necessary to adjust appropriately the syllabus , improve English textbooks and implement aspiration education in English teaching in higher vocational colleges. Consequently, the students will be more interested in English learning and teaching effect will be improved. In the long run, the students will achieve a great potential of sustained development.
