颈椎外固定器治疗齿状突骨折

Treatment of odontoid fractures with external fixator of cervical spin:A report of 8 cases

目的 :介绍一种新型颈椎外固定器 ,并报告治疗齿状突骨折的疗效。方法 :用这种外固定器治疗 8例外伤性齿状突骨折 ,其中Ⅱ型5例 ,Ⅲ型 3例。根据临床需要 ,此外固定器可行屈曲、伸展、侧屈和中立位撑开固定。结果 :本组并发症较低 ,在应用颈椎外固定器过程中 ,无神经损伤加重的病例 ,经临床观察和随访 ,治疗效果满意。结论 :该外固定器是颈椎外科中很有效的一种外固定方法 ,具有操作简单、固定牢固和易于调整的优点。适宜无移位性齿状突骨折的治疗。

Objective:To introduce a new type external fixator of cervical spin and its therapeutic effect for treatment of odontoid fractures.Methods:Eight patients with odontoid fractures due to trauma were fixed with this external fixator.Of them,5 cases were type Ⅱ and 3 were type Ⅲ.According to demands,the external fixator could be applied to distract fixation in flexion,extension,lateral flexion and neutral mode.Results:Complications were few in the group.No patient had neurological deterioration while the external fixator were applicated.Clinical observation and follow-up study demonstrated that its therapeutic effect was satisfactory.Conclusions:The external fixator is an effective method for external immobilization of the cervical spinal surgery.The advantages of the fixation apparatus are simple procedure,stable fixation and easy adjustment.The method is suitable for the treatment of non-displaced odontoid fractures.
