As a leading for-runner of traditional Chinese military theory, Sun Tzu, in his The Art of War, puts forward the first troop-directing theory in Chinese history. Based on this theory ,the first perfect troop-directing the- oretieal system is accomplished by Wu Tzu, with troop-directing being a deciding factor of success. Then great breakthrough is achieved during the Ming Dynasty in troop-directing,with its renewal of content and further perfection of the system.
