As the representative of Confessional poets, Sylvia Plath failed to establish a complete self-consciousness of herself all through her short life. Most researchers have blamed her husband for her death-- the famous English poet, Ted Hughes, but the author still believes that her life was terminated collectively by the three persons closest to her, namely her father who she hated the most for having died during her childhood, her mother whose strong anticipation on her education left her no choice but reluctance when in youth and her husband who had trapped her in deep sorrow after his abandonment of her as an adult. The triple burdens were both the helping hand to release her talents and pushing hand of the death of this miserable woman.
