阿干考

A Textual Research on "A'gan"

通过大量的工具书和地方文献,讨论了"阿干"一词的含义、语源,和"阿干镇"、"阿干县"、"阿干堡"、"阿干山""、阿干岭"、"阿干水"、"阿干峪"、"阿干关"等以"阿干"为名的地名的起源。结论是:"阿干"源于鲜卑语,意义为"兄长""哥哥",又与"沃干"同音。"阿干"用于地名,前人认为即"兄长"之意,源于慕容诗"阿干歌",但本文依据现存最早出现"沃干"一名的《三国志》,认为不能确定。

Reading,looking up and researching a quantity of reference books and local documents, the authors clarify the meaning and etymology of ＂A＇gan（ 阿干 ）＂ after which some of place names are derived and originated such as：＂A＇gan zhen（town）＂＂A＇gan xian （county）＂ ＂A＇ gan bu/bao （fortress）＂ ＂A＇ gan shan （hill）＂ ＂A＇ gan lin （ mountain ）＂ ＂A＇ gan shui （ water ）＂ ＂A＇ gan yu （ valley ）＂ ＂A＇ gan gaan （pass）＂ and find out that A ＇gan ,from an ancient language named xianbei, means elder brother and has the same pronunciation with the word ＂wogan（ 沃干 ）＂. It was once believed that ＂A＇gan＂ firstly used as a place name with the meaning of elder brother was after the ballad of A＇gan written by Mu Rongshi which the authors of this article don＇t agree because the word ＂wogan（沃干）＂ first appeared in the book of The History of the Three Kingdoms, earlier than ballad of A＇ gan.
