Redefining Western Aesthetics after 1900

1900年以来的西方美学可以重新定义为西方当代美学,它包括三个面相:现代美学、后现代美学、全球化美学。全球化美学在新世纪的主潮是生态型美学、生活型美学、身体美学,其特点是把西方自近代以来的区分型美学转到了与各非西方文化同调的交汇型美学上来,这不但表明西方美学发展到一个重大转折时期,而且也表明世界美学发展到一个重构时期。

Western aesthetics after 1900 can be redefined as contemporary western aesthetics which includes three aspects： modern aesthetics, postmodern aesthetics and global aesthetics. The main stream of global aesthetics includes ecological aesthetics, life-style aesthetics and body aesthetics in the new century, which transforms distinguishing aesthetics in the west in modern time to joining aes- thetics agreeing with non-western culture. This shows that western aesthetics develops to an impor- tant turning point and global aesthetics develops to an important stage.
