Zhongyuan traditional clothing has developed a unique artistic style with its unique geographic position and cultural environment. Greater importance is attached to its activation and application in modern fashion brand costume designing. Based on elements of Zhongyuan traditional clothing such as material selection, handicraft and pattern, this paper analyzes and summarizes the natural fabric, knotted button process and embroidery technique of Zhongyuan traditional clothing through real object analysis; considers that Zhongyuan traditional clothing is a harmonious integration of natural style of fabric, casual style of knotted button and embroidery; conducts an instance analysis on the design concept and method of Zhongyuan traditional clothing fabric and handicraft that can fit modern fashion clothing brands; represents the charm of Zhongyuan traditional clothing fabric and handicraft and provides design inspirations for modern fashion brand clothing design.
