This article is focused on the technology and equipment for purified terephthalic acid (PTA) that can be used to construct the 1-million-ton PTA production facility. The process of this facility can be divided into two main segments-oxidation (including oxidation reaction, crystallization, separation, drying and other necessary process) and purification (including hydrogenation reaction, crystallization, filtration, drying and other necessary process). With 12 patents granted, this product is innovative in optimization of reaction, process and energy, in addition, the energy-saving and environmental protection technology is integrated into the whole process of the facility, significantly lowering its energy consumption and increasing its sophistication. It is of great competitiveness in terms of production capacity, economic performance and investment.
