Cognitive Assessment in Patients with Epilepsy

摘要 目的探讨癫痫患者的认知功能状况及其事件相关诱发电位在反映认知功能上的价值。方法受试者分为癫痫组(n=26)及对照组(n=23),均进行脑电图(EEG)、简易智能精神状态检查量表(MMSE)和事件相关诱发电位(ERP)检测。结果癫痫组MMSE总分显著低于对照组(P<0.05),P300潜伏期显著长于对照组(P<0.05),且P300潜伏期与MMSE总分呈显著负相关(r=-0.512,P<0.05)。结论部分癫痫患者存在认知功能减退,事件相关诱发电位在评价其认知功能方面起重要作用。结合简易智能精神状态检查量表,可进一步证实部分癫痫患者存在的认知功能减退。 Objective To explore the cognitive impairment and the relationship between event related potentials with cognitive function in epilepsy patients.Methods The patients in epilepsy group(n=26) and control group(n=23) underwent the tests of Electroencephalogram(EEG),mini mental state examination(MMSE) and event related potential(ERP).Results The scores of MMSE in epilepsy group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P0.05),the latency of P300 in epileptic group increased significantly as compared with the control group(P0.05),and the latency of P300 was negatively correlated with the score of MMSE(r=-0.512,P0.05).Conclusion Some epilepsy patients have cognitive impairment,and the event related potential play an important role in the impairment of cognitive function.Combination of mini mental state examination,we can further confirm the cognitive impairment in some epilepsy patients.
