Alienation of honor:rational reflection behind competitive sports civilization

回望人类整个竞技体育发展历程,我们可以看到在古希腊时期,人们通过用各种具有象征性的仪式,以及最为简朴的植物荣花冠来刻意突出冠军荣誉的纯洁性和神圣性,同时人们也以俗世的物质奖赏来肯定冠军。到了中世纪,骑士们通过自我肯定与他者认可重新铸造出一个全新的骑士精神世界。到了现代,竞技体育比赛已随着工业化程度的日益增强,逐渐演变成一条职业的竞技体系流水线,当人们以物化、商业化的眼光去评判荣誉时,荣誉已经被严重削弱并日渐异化。

Looking back the whole development process of athletic sports, we can find that during Ancient Greece people used different kinds of symbolic ceremonies and a simple plant to highlight the purity and sacredness of champion＇ s glory. During the Middle Ages, glory was a kind of self- affirmation and recognition in the knights＇ hearts, and it also became an internal core of chivalry. In the contemporary athletic sports, with the increasing industrialization, athletic sports have evolved a flow line for producing glory. When people evaluate the glory with the eye of material and commer- cialization, it has been heavily weakened and gradually become completely different.
