企业对高职毕业生英语能力的需求是优化高职英语课程、实现其课程目标的先决条件。通过对衢州地区企业进行随机调查,结果表明,企业对高职毕业生英语应用能力的需求与其所从事的行业和一线岗位具体工作密切相关,重在读和译能力;企业对高职毕业生英语文化能力的需求很大;企业对高职实用英语课程和专业英语课程的设置需求大于基础英语。因此,高职院校应致力于行业英语课程的开发与实践,努力提升英语课程的文化价值。

Enterprises＇ need of English ability to vocational college graduates is the priority of making English courses and achieving the teaching objective in vocational colleges. A Survey on enterprises of Quzhou found that enterprises＇ need of English ability to vocational college graduates is closely linked with their profession and the specific work they are engaged in, emphasizing reading and translating ability. Enterprises have a big requirement for students＇ ability to understand English culture. In addition, enterprises have more needs for practical and professional English than the basic English. Therefore vocational colleges should strive to set up professional English courses and promote the cultural value of English courses.
