As part of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of China-Australia diplomatic reltions, a culture and education delegation under the aegis of China's Ethnic Affairs Commission visited Australia from September 24 to October 5 in2012. The delegation was headed by senior officials of the Commission Feng Lan (director-general for international exchange) and Li Xiaoman (director for discipline inspection). The delegation visited three universities, an immigration museum, and put on performances of ethnic arts in Melbourne and Sydney.
Centre for Dialogue at Melbourne’s La Trobe University The party visited the Centre for Dialogue of La Trobe University on the morning of September 26.The University has developed deep relationships with Chinese universities and is the home school of Lapola Randi,the first Changjiang Scholar to be hired by the Minzu University of China in Beijing.
