摘要
文章通过一项基于非英语专业研究生口语表达水平的实证研究从九个维度推导出四个导致口语僵化的因素,即临界期后的汉语负迁移影响、课堂教学过程的负面作用、对翻译手段的过度依赖和提高口语输出质量动机的缺乏,继而分析了诸因素间的交互发生情况及其影响范围大小,从而在二语僵化领域提出一个全新的概念——口语僵化矩阵,并通过对矩阵内僵化条件的交互发生形式的分析得出口语僵化缓释策略制定的启示。
Oral fossilization is a universal phenomenon to Chinese English learners.This paper,with an empirical study of the spoken English performance by non-English-major graduate students,summarizes in nine dimensions four oral fossilization factors,namely,negative transfer from Chinese after CPH,negative influence from classroom teaching,overreliance on translation,and a lack of the motivation to optimize oral output,thus bringing forth a brand-new concept in the field of L2 fossilization—Oral Fossilization Matrix.And based on the analysis of the interplaying occasions of fossilization preconditions in the matrix,the paper concludes with a few suggestions on formulating alleviating strategies.
