情报所面向政府服务功能定位为:整合政府信息资源,做好指引服务;完善获取渠道,加快政府信息资源公共获取进程。应打造共建共享的政府信息资源体系,把政府部门和政府信息机构紧密联系在一起,形成共建共享体系,建成全方位、多元化的政府信息公共平台,促使政府信息资源为社会大众共享,充分发挥其作用。

The service functions of Information Institutes for the government should be positioned at： integrating the government information resources,good guiding service,perfecting the accessing channels,and speeding up the public access to the government information resources.The government information resources system with integrated development and sharing should be constructed to tightly bond the government departments and the government information institutes together,so that to form the development and sharing system,and built up the overall and diversified platform for the government information disclosure,promoting the government information resources to be shared by the public,and to give full play to its functions.
