公共环境英语标识文本的现状及其规范化思考

The Current Situation and Normalization of English Signs

公共环境英文标识语存在着诸多不规范甚至错误的现象,主要表现在:受专业水平限制造成词汇错误、因文化失解造成语用错位、因文化误读造成机械移植、受母语干扰的中国式英语等。在进行英文标识语的规范化建设中,必须从"注重翻译中的技术规范、文化规范、语用规范"等几个方面来加以认识,引导英文标识语沿着良性的规范轨道前进。

Many unnormal or even incorrect translation of English signs can be seen in the public places, displaying in lexical mistakes caused by limited English level, pragmatic mistakes and copy mechanically in disregard of specific conditions caused by cultural misuderstanging, and Chinglish caused by interference of native language, etc. To normalize English signs, the following factors must be taken into account：translating skill, culture and pragmatic norm.
