王先谦,成绩卓著的晚清文献学家,编撰、校刊之书多达58种。其学术著作及学术实践中更是蕴含着丰富的文献学思想:王先谦能够有意识地刊印、保护文献典籍,嘉惠后学;重视版本目录之学,尤以"精究版本"为重;重视校勘、笺注等考据之学。此外,王先谦在学术研究中还极为重视追溯源流,他的独特见解和力行实践,促进了清代文献学的发展。

Wang Xianqian （王先谦） was a successful philologer in the late Qing Dynasty. The number of books he wrote or compiled was as many as 58, all of which contain rich philological ideas. Firstly, Wang Xianqian had the consciousness of protecting the old philological scriptures from which the scholars at that time and later could benefit. Secondly, Wang Xianqian valued the science of catalog and edition. Thirdly, he payed highly attention to the textual criticism, notes and commentaries. In addition, Wang Xianqian also atta- ched great importance to retrospective origins in academic research and had unique insights which contributed greatly to the development of philology in the Qing Dynasty
