摘要
第二次世界大战结束后,美国保留并扩展了战时对华宣传机构——美国新闻处,开展了以"推销美国方式"为主的"扬美"宣传活动。随着冷战爆发和中国政局的巨变,美国对华宣传政策也发生了变化,美国新闻处开始了以离间中苏关系为目标的"反苏"宣传活动,宣传手段也逐渐从公开转向更多使用隐蔽手段。最后,迫于政治形势美国新闻处所有站点在1949年全部撤离中国大陆。无论从宣传题目还是宣传手段来说,这个阶段的对华宣传都是为日后美国在亚洲浩大的反对"红色中国"的宣传运动和心理战做了"热身"并为之拉开了序幕。
After the World War II, the U. S. propaganda machinery's posts abroad -USIS -China began the "Selling American Way" information and culture program in China. Because of the breakout of the Cold War and the regime change within China, the U. S. information policy toward China was changed. The USIS - Chi- na conducted the anti - Soviet propaganda in order to create rifts between the Chinese Communists and USSR, until the USIS operations were finally closed in the mainland. This article explores the operations of USIS - China from 1945 to 1949 using the sources of the U. S. government archives and regards the phase as the prel- ude of the dramatic anti - Communist China propaganda offensive.
