The Politico-ligious Relationship in the Period of Manchukuo:Taking Catholic Yanji Parish as the Center

延吉教区德国天主教本笃会与伪满政权始终处于妥协与冲突的互动关系中,妥协是主要的,冲突则是次要的,冲突主要表现在教会学校国有化、神社参拜等问题上。天主教会寻求伪满政权对自身利益的保护和伪满政权对天主教会利用价值的重视,是政教关系协调的重要基础;伪满政权的高压政策是引发政教冲突的主要原因。

In Yanji Parish, German Catholic Benedictine and Manchukuo regime were in the interaction between compromise and conflict： compromise is primary while conflict is secondary, and the conflict is mainly manifested in the issues of the nationalization of church schools and shrine visits. It is the important basis for coordination of church-state relations that the Catholic Church seeks the protection of their interests, while the Manchukuo regime attaches importance to the value of puppet Manchuria regime making use of the Catholic Church. The high-handed policy of the Manchukuo regime is the main reason of leading to political and religious conflict.
