嘉纳的一生主要是通过留学生教育和一般教育,与近现代中国、特别是清末中国发生种种关联。他所进行的中国留学生教育具有先驱意义,而其背后的思想支撑——其国际理念、中国认识以及对中日关系的构想,在他的时代无疑是贤明而稳健的。他的观念和实践构成了近代中日教育文化交流中罕见的出色篇章,至今仍有强烈的现实性。本文特别关注嘉纳的国际观和中国认识一直为中日学界所忽略的事实,对嘉纳的国际观中国观的整体结构进行考察,理清在近代日本的观念体系中,嘉纳所呈现的独特图景及其意义。

Kano Jigoro＇s life is associated with Modern China, especially the late Qing Dynasty, mainly by international education and general education. His Chinese overseas education is full of pioneering significance,and its idea support-its international concepts, understanding of China, and Sino-Japanese relations in his era was undoubtedly wise and prudent. The concept and practice constituted a rare excellent chapter for the modern Sino-Japanese educational and cultural exchange,and there is still a strong sense of reality. This article particularly focuses on Kano Jigoro＇s international outlook and understanding of China, which has been ignored by Sino-Japanese academia. The author studies Kano Jigoro＇s international and Chinese perspectives, souts out what he presented and its significance in the modern Japanese concept system.
