China’s container ports still in strong upward path

《2012年全球最具发展潜力集装箱港口排名》日前正式发布，全球前20大最具发展潜力集装箱港口中，中国港口占据了七席。

'The ranking report 2012 of the world's most potential container ports for development' has been released officially by the Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI). According to the ranking report analysis: under the influence of the downturn in shipping in the turbulent markets, each of the world's big container port development meets severe winter since 2008, the growth rate of container throughput has declined sharply. Extensive development of port industry has gradually calmed down from the original irrational exuberance frenzy. The world container port development situation is more complicated. Under this background, the global terminal operators and financial institutions become even more cautious of investing than ever when they choose of which ports can bring better benefits and return. In order to measure the potential of global container terminals objectively, fully reflect their value and to provide decision-making reference for port terminal operators in the investment, the SISI ranks the annual global 100 largest container ports according to their development potential in the future. The scores not only cover the index of the growth rate of container throughput, the GDP growth of port area and the port attracting investment amount but combine with such comprehensive evaluation as the port service efficiency and the competitive factors. Through combining all of the above factors, the SISI finally concludes the ranking report of the world's most potential container port for development in thenext few years.
