Analysis of Cultural Elements and Characteristics of the Art of Tibetan Buddhism Statue

在佛教造像艺术中没有比藏传佛教造像拥有更为丰富和繁多的神祇及法器,于是就有了藏族人人皆有一尊佛的荣誉。如此庞大的神灵体系源于佛教自身的显密教法中三身变现,藏传佛教各派传承中涌现出来的上师、本尊和护法神等。藏传佛教造像艺术是以印度佛教选像艺术、本土造像艺术、汉地造像艺术、尼泊尔造像艺术融为一体的具有藏族特色的佛教造像艺术。

In the art of Buddhism statue, Tibetan Buddhism presents such abundant statues of gods and musical instruments that almost every Tibetan owns a statue of Buddha. This huge deity system originated from three Kayas in the remarkable secret of law of Buddhism as well as supreme masters, deities and gods of law of different sections of Tibetan Buddhism. This paper elaborates on cultural elements, formation of theme, stylistic and decorative characteristics and religious implications of the art of statue.
