A NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS HYPOASPIS PROM JILIN PROVINCE,CHINA (ACARI:GAMASINA)

记述下盾螨属一新种 :白城下盾螨HypoaspisbaichengensisMa ,sp .nov .

Hypoaspis baichengensis Ma,sp.nov. (Figs.1 4) ♀ Body yellow,oval,517?μm long,310?μm wide.Dorsal shield 494?μm length ×264?μm width,covering most portion of dorsum and rounded posteriorly,the shield bearing 39 pairs of setae and 4 accessory setae between D 6 and S 8,all dorsal setae short.Posterior margin of sternal shield straighter.2 pairs of pores on sternal shield,the third pair of pores and MSt on cuticle behind the shield.Posterior part of genito ventral shield slightly expanded,and extending behind level of Vl 3.Anal shield triangular.Ad situated at level of middle of anus,and longer than PA,its end beyond base of PA.Metapodal shield staff shaped.Movable and fixed digits of chela with 2 and 3 teeth respectively.All gnathosomal setae needle shaped. The new species near to Hypoaspis lubrica Voigts et Oudemans,1904 and Hypoaspis chelaris Teng,Zhang et Cui,1992,but differs from Hypoaspis lubrica in:dorsal shield setae very short,far distant from base of next setae;posterior margin of sternal shield straighter;MSt situated on cuticle interior to endopodalia;Ad long,its end being beyond base of PA;metapodalia slender,staff shaped.The new species differs from Hypoaspis chelaris in: chela longer,movable digit 46?μm in length;anterior gnathosomal setae needle shaped;dorsal shield rounded posteriorly;Ad situated at level of middle of anus,the setae longer,its end being beyond base of PA. Holotype ♀,paratype 1 ♀,from soil in woods of poplar,Baicheng (45°37′N,122°49′E),Jilin Province,14.Ⅶ.1996.Type specimens are deposited in the National Base of Plague and Brucellosis Control,Baicheng City,Jilin Province.
