Chitin related enzymes such as chitin synthesase,chitinolytic enzymes and others,which are involved in biosynthesis,lysis and modification of chitin,are discussed.A comprehensive review is on the situation and progresses of chitin enzymology including isolation and purification,identification,mechanism and model,immobilization,cloned enzyme and their uses.\;
