This paper studied the effect of VA mycorrhizal fungus( Selerocystis sinuosa ) to relationship between shoot apex development and peroxidase changes in Mirabilis jalapa with polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. There are four bands of POD isozymes (PⅠ、PⅡ、PⅢ、PⅣ) in vegetative apices. PⅠ and PⅡ band disappeared in maturation period, new bands PⅢ 、PⅣ arising. The results showed, after plant was infected by VA mycorrhizal fungus POD activity increased in all vegetative period and the time in which PⅢ band appeared was post off.
