A Breif Analysis on Factors Leading to Emily's Tragic Fate

本文的研究对象是福克纳小说《献给爱米丽的一朵玫瑰花》中的女主角爱米丽,通过从不同层面和视角分析探究了导致爱米丽悲剧命运的影响因素。爱米丽的人生是悲苦而凄凉的,其中三个因素影响导致了她的悲剧人生,一是爱米丽所处的家族父权和家长制对她的性格的影响,二是爱米丽所处时代的传统伦理价值观对她的思想的禁锢,三是爱米丽自身畸形的爱情观促使她最终会有这样的一种悲剧命运。

The research object of the article is the heroine -- Emily in Fraukner＇ s novel A rose for Emily. It aims to explore the reasons that lead to Emily＇s tragic fate through the analysis from different levels and perspectives. Emily＇s life is miserable,and there are three reasons contributing to her tragic fate. the first one is the influence of paternity and patriarchy, the second one is tradional value, and the last one is the influence of her negative value of love.
