摘要 课程问题一直是大学争论不休的议题之一,课程变革也从未停止过。当前,美国研究型大学的课程问题已经成为公众批评的焦点,本科教育目标的迷失与错位导致大学课程被认为是时髦的、蹩脚的、不切实际而多变的课程大杂烩。美国著名的教育专家弗兰克H.T.罗德斯认为美国研究型大学的本科教育必须以培养有教养的人为目标,以专业教育的丰富化通向通识教育,学科或专业应通过课程设置体现人文关怀,教师与学生须通力合作实现教学质量水平的提高。只有如此,美国的研究型大学才能永远发挥其创造未来的作用。 Curriculum is always one of the debating issues in universities,and the curriculum reform has never stopped.At present,the problem of curriculums in American research universities has been the focus of public criticism.The lost and dislocation of undergraduate education objectives leads to the thought that college curriculum is a lame,trendy,unrealistic and changeable hodgepodge.The voice of calling on reforming the college curriculums is stronger than ever.Frank H.T.Rhodes thinks that undergraduate education in American research universities should aim at cultivating educated people,that the enrichment of specialized education should lead to general education,that disciplines or majors should reflect humanity care by curriculum settings,and that teachers and students should cooperate to improve the quality of teaching.Only in this way,can American research universities always play the role of creating their future.
