Wang Fu expresses his poetic ideas mainly in his book Of Qianfu.The aim of poetry,according to Wang Fu,is to teach and to delight,which is important in eulogizing the merits,in criticizing the politics,in getting the experience from history,and in exploring the beauty of nature.Wang Fu has his many unique and insightful ideas about the poetics and poetry,especially in the interpretation of Shi Jing.It is necessary to have a complete and objective study of Wang Fu＇s poetic ideas,for it is important for people realizing clearly the achievements of Shi Jing studies scholars got in Han Dynasty,and it is equally important for people to understand more profound the significance of Shi Jing so as to deepen the Shi Jing studies and to contribute to the studies of Chinese classics.
