生态翻译学视阙下公示语翻译补偿研究——以甘肃省部分城市为例

Translation Compensation of Public Signs from Eco-translatology——A Case Study of Some Cities in Gansu

翻译既是语言转换,又是文化交流;在跨语言、跨文化交流过程中"文化缺省"在所难免。从生态翻译学视角探讨"文化缺省"一方面给翻译带来了新的挑战,另一方面又为翻译补偿的提供了可能。本文从语言补偿、文化补偿和交际补偿"三维"角度探讨了公示语的翻译,希望以此抛砖引玉,产生更好的译文。

Translation is not only a kind of transformation between languages, but also communication between cultures. Cultural default is inevitable in the course of intercultural communication. Eco-translatology brings new challenges to translation in dealing with cultural default and makes it possible for translation compensation. This article makes a tentative study of the trans- lation of public signs from the perspective of linguistic compensation, cultural compensation and communicative compensation, the aim of which is to render better versions in the future.
