越战期间美日关系的困境及纾解

U.S.-Japan Alliance's Dilemma and Relief during Vietnam War

越南战争爆发后,美国力图争取包括日本在内的盟国的支持与合作。战争初期,日本政府极力为美国辩护,并通过除直接参战之外的诸多方式积极援助支持美军在越南展开的军事行动,美日关系平稳发展。随着越战的升级,美国不断对北越进行轰炸,美日之间就越南问题存在的分歧日益暴露,再加上日本国内掀起了大规模的反战高潮,美日之间渐生嫌隙。日本政府力图充当调停者的角色,坚持谈判解决越南问题,美国对日本政府的态度表示不满,双方关系不断恶化。然而,美日同盟关系经受住了越南战争的严峻考验,并且一直延续至今。

After outbreak of Vietnam War,the United States tried to strive for support and cooperation of its allies,including Japan.At the beginning of the war,Japanese government strongly defended for the United States,and supported U.S.military operations in Vietnam other than dispatching troops,so U.S.-Japan relations developed steadily.With the upgrade of Vietnam War,the United States bombed North Vietnam continuously,but the United States and Japan had different opinions with Vietnam War.Coupled with massive anti-war climax in Japan,U.S.-Japan relationship began to slip.Japanese government tried to mediate and promoted peace negotiation between the two sides of Vietnam War.The United States was angry and bilateral relations deteriorated.However,U.S.-Japan alliance survived the Vietnam War,and has continued ever since.
