The safe and stable operation of transmission lines is the premise and guarantee to ensure power grid operation normal. Thus, there are an urgent requirements of remote and on-line monitoring transmission lines, towers, special areas. This paper introduces an on-line monitoring system for transmission lines, which applies statistics analysis to collected data, assesses indexes through the key performance index method, and deepens the applications of the transmission line on-line monitoring system. The system can ensure the long-term effective system operation, and improve the transmission security.
