报道一种根据黄野螟蛹腹节的形态特征,迅速准确区分黄野螟蛹雌雄的方法。雌蛹第8腹节腹面中央有一纵裂缝,裂缝较雄蛹生殖孔裂缝短,裂缝两侧平坦,无突起,腹部末端分节不明显;雄蛹第8腹节无裂缝,仅在第8腹节末端有一对左右对称的柳叶眉状斑纹,在第9腹节前端中央有一纵裂缝,裂缝两侧各有一半圆状突起,腹部末端分节较明显。

A method used for quickly and accurately distinguishing pupae sex of Heortia vitessoides Moore according to the morphology of the 8th and 9th abdominal segments was described in this paper. There was one shorter suture existing between the genital pore and the oviposition on the 8＇h abdominal segment in female pupae and one longer suture formed by genital pore on the 9th abdominal segment in male pupae.
