Survey on Treatment-seeking Behaviors of Patients with Oral Disease in Tangshan Xiehe Hospital

目的调查分析本院口腔疾病患者就医行为,以期为口腔卫生服务机构制定相关措施提供依据。方法随机抽取来唐山市协和医院口腔科就诊的患者508例进行开放式问卷调查。结果 508例口腔患者调查结果提示,280例(55.1%)患者重视口腔健康,但只有119例(23.4%)患者会做到定期检查;337例(66.3%)患者从报纸、杂志、电视、广播等媒体获得口腔保健知识;417例(82.1%)患者表示愿意到正规医院就诊;317例(62.4%)人认为不一定要选择专家;288例(56.7%)的人群愿意周末看病;176例(34.7%)的人群认可态度和蔼,解释耐心的医护人员。结论医院应加强口腔健康宣传教育,同时开设无假日门诊,从而方便患者就医。

Objective To investigate and analyze the treatment-seeking behaviors of patients with oral disease in Tangshan Xiehe Hospital so as to provide a basis for oral health service agencies to develop the relevant measures.Methods An open-ended questionnaire survey was conducted among 508 outpatients who were randomly selected from Department of Stomatology,Tangshan Xiehe Hospital.Results Among the 508 patients,280（55.1%） patients paid attention to oral health,but only 119（23.4%） patients went to hospital for examinations periodically.337（66.3%） patients acquired the oral health knowledge from newspapers,magazines,television,broadcasts and so on.417（82.1%） patients signified their intents to go to normal hospitals.317（62.4%） patients did not see visiting the experts as something they had to do.288（56.7%） patients expressed their will to see a dentist at weekend.176（34.7%） patients showed their acceptance and support for doctors with kindness and patience.Conclusions The hospital should enhance the education about oral health and provide evening and holiday outpatient services so as to offer the most convenience for patients.
