古诗英译的系统功能语言学探索——以《黄鹤楼送孟浩然之广陵》为例

Research on Systemic-Functional Linguistics of the English Translation of Ancient Chinese Poems——The Thematic Analysis of the English Versions of Seeing Meng Haoran to Guangling

以系统功能语言学为理论基础,对唐诗《黄鹤楼送孟浩然之广陵》的4种英译文作语篇功能分析。分析的目的主要有两点:一是通过语言学分析帮助我们揭示一些诗学分析方法容易忽略的汉诗英译问题;二是检验系统功能语言学在翻译研究中的可应用性和可操作性。

Based on the theory of systemic functional linguistics,this paper is an attempt to study the discourse function of poem ＂Seeing Meng Haoran to Guangling＂ and its four translated English versions.There are two purposes of this analysis.Firstly,linguistic analysis may help us to reveal the translation problems from Chinese poetry to English version which are often neglected through the method of poetics.Secondly,the applicability and the maneuverability of systemic functional linguistics in translation studies could be tested.
