CBI教学理念对医学类院校大学英语课程设计的启示 被引量:7

摘要 当前通用英语教学模式未能较好体现医学类院校大学英语教学的特色和专业优势,忽视了学生个性化的英语学习需求以及社会对医学类人才在英语语言方面的特殊需求。医学类院校大学英语教学可以通过优化课程设计、开发课程自身潜力以改进目前以"纯语言知识"和"纯语言技能"为核心的语言驱动(language-driven)教学模式,引入"医学知识"为核心的内容驱动(con-tent-driven)教学模式,走依托医学专业知识驱动英语学习的ESP医学英语特色教学改革之路。 There are two categories of teaching philosophies of English teaching: language - driven and contentdriven, which separately correspondents to two teaching models: EG (English for general purposes ) model and ESP ( English for special / specific purposes) model. The current college English teaching in medical universities belongs to EG model, which doesn' t proficiently match the characteristics and advantages of medical universities in the context of globalization. EG model doesn't take learners' needs and social needs for medical talents in to consideration. So a more proficiently teaching model is in bad need. ESP model can compensate the disadvantages of EG model. This paper analyzes how to carry out ESP teaching for medical students by means of optimizing college English courses within the framework of content - based language instruction.
