The Wolf-child's Confusion ——A Study of Mowgli's Identity Dilemma in Jungle Book

罗德亚德·吉卜林(1865-1936)是英国二十世纪重要的作家之一。其创作的《丛林故事》对于莫格里的身份进行了探索,发现莫格里的双重身份使其感到困惑,成为他无法理解主流社会的障碍。其丛林价值观流露出他对于人类社会的疏离,然而当他走向丛林时却发现自己同样无法融入丛林,从而呈现出狼孩的"他者"身份的困境。

Rudyard Kipling （1865 - 1936 ） is an important writer of the twentieth century. His ＂Jungle Book＂ ex- plores Mowglig identity, and reveals that Mowglig dual identity makes him confused and becomes the barriers to understanding the mainstream society. The jungle values also reflect his alienation from human society. However, when he goes to the jungle, he also finds that he can not integrate into the jungle, which showed the wolf- child＇ s identity dilemma of the other.
