The new teaching reform of university stresses the excellentized and quality-oriented cultivation. The course ot British and American Literature--an important platform for training students＇ language ability and humanistic quality, should fo- cus on strengthening students＇ reading experience of original literary works, fostering students＇ ability in employing western criti- cism theories to train their critical logic in text analysis, and enhancing students＇ ability in combining cognitive level to read and explore literary works.
