符号诗学,是以符号学方法建构的文学理论,是关于可能世界的诗学。近百年来,主要由形式论、结构论、模式论和解释论符号诗学构成,大致走过了一条从"符形学"到"符义学"、"符用学",再到试图将"三者整合",深入文化隐蔽机制,全面走向文化符号诗学的道路。

Semiotic Aesthetics is a literary theory built upon semiology; it is poetics on the possible world, illuminated by forms, structures, models, and explanations. Over the past century, the development of Semiotic Aesthetics has roughly experienced such stages： semiotics, syntactics, pragmatics, and the integration of the three to be infiltrated in the covert cultural mechanism, so that Cultural Semiotic Aesthetics is formed.
