This paper introduced the application background of optical and electrical hybrid cable, described its structure and principle related to the DC remote power supply briefly. The safety of DC remote power supply and calculation of cross sectional area of the optical and electrical hybrid cable had been discussed. Finally it gave some need attention in the construction.
