结合实际水厂工程,对设计代表如何提供优质的现场服务,设计代表应该具备的基本素质、遵循的基本原则、履行的基本职责以及所发挥的基本作用进行了阐述,供设计和设计代表人员参考。

With the updating of current technology in water plant of the city and a higher quality of the project needed, the design representatives will play a more significant role in project. Although the sense of responsibility and risk awareness of all parties participating in project is enhanced, more technical problems will be dealt with by design representatives. Combined with the actual water plant project, the paper gives an account of design representatives＇ basic qualities, principle, duties, and role, from which the experience can be drawn on by designers and design representatives.
