This paper gives an introduction to the process of establishing a clinical competency evaluation system with the machine, learning approach and explains the two advantages of this approach： i.e. continuously improving the evaluation structure, effectively simulating the comments of clinical experts and as^ssing students＇ clinical competency; objectively evaluating the teaching of the school and providing useful information for teaching reform. As a new research method, the machine learning approach will have the perspective of being widely used in medical education research,
