A Return Journey from Tibet(Ⅱ)

心禅,具体情况不详。作者于清朝光绪年间入藏,后居于拉萨,从事商贸,计有6年时间。民国初创,英人唆使西藏地方对抗中央,内地与西藏之间的交通被封锁,中央与西藏地方的联系暂被阻隔,英人及分裂分子妄图以此达到"西藏独立"之目的。然而,本时期仍有国人突破层层封锁从陆路返回内地,在某种程度上于当时十分紧张的政治环境下起到了沟通祖国内地与西藏地方联系的作用。本文作者心禅于民国二年二月一日自拉萨出发,经川藏线行走,四月一日午后抵达成都,历时整整两月矣。此文为其归途日记,对于民国初年中央与西藏地方关系研究可资参考。

Xin Chan,the author of A Return Journey from Tibet,entered Tibet in Guangxu Period,Qing Dynasty.He then settled down in Lhasa,doing business for 6 years.At the early stage of the Republic of China,due to the instigation of British government and the attempt of Tibet independence,the transportation between Tibet and the inland was blocked and the relations between Tibet local government and the central government were also damaged.Even under such bad circumstances,however,some compatriots still managed to break up the blockages to return to the Inland.These efforts to some extent connected the inland and Tibet together under that intense political situation.The author Xin Chan departed Lhasa on February 1,1914.He took the Sichuan-Tibet Highway and arrived in Chengdu on April 1.This essay is based on his diaries written on his two months' journey back to Chengdu,which have important historical values to the study of the relation between the Central Government and Tibet Local Government.
