近现代中国民族特色史学是近现代以来形成的以爱国主义为主旨、以清史为主体、以杂史为副体,既区别于西方史学又区别于中国古代史学而具有近现代中国民族显著特色的中国史学。"大一统"国家观是近现代中国民族特色史学理论体系的基石,"隔代修史"正统论、"纪传国史"统领论和"鉴戒史观"经世论是近现代民族特色史学的三大支柱。近现代中国民族特色史学不但具有自身独立的发展阶段,而且具有自身的特色体裁、特色体例、特色笔法、特色功能等。
