Both the analogical simulation and the ascent routines simulation admit that similarity is the base for simulation, but the former considers the way of self-mindreading is introspection, while people read other’s mind by introspection & analogical reasoning; the latter claims self-mindreading by ascent routines, people read other’s mind with ascent routines and empathy.
