The direct cause of the Movement of ＂Respecting the Legalism and Criticizing the Confucianism＂ launched by Mao Zedong is to defend ＂the Great Cultural Revolution＂, but the underlying cause of it lies in ＂law of the negation of negation＂ of human culture development.
