Due to the internal and external factors,knowledge network in virtual R＆D team may oclur the mutated phenomenon in its R＆D operation process.Through the application of nonlinear catastrophe theory,knowledge network swallowtail catastrophe model in virtual R＆D team is estalelished.The model can intuitively give catastrophe criterion of knowledge network in virtual R＆D team and reasonably explain knowledge network recession process in virtual R＆D team caused by relation dimension characteristics,which is conducive to effectively forecast and control the virtual R＆D team’s behavior.
