It is believed that the genital herpes simplex is caused by herpes simplex virus type Ⅱ (HSV Ⅱ) mainly before,and HSV Ⅰ caused mouths' and lips' herpes simplex mainly.But more and more the patients with genital herpes simplex who were caused by HSV Ⅰ have been found by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and Southern blot etc.molecular testing methods.100 cases of patients with genital HSV were tested by PCR and Southern Blot and the results showed that the positive HSV Ⅱ:60 cases (63.8%),Positive HSV Ⅰ:33 cases (35.1%),HSV Ⅰ and HSV Ⅱ both positive:1 cases (1.1%) among total 94 positive cases (94%),and 6 negative cases among total 100 patients with genital HSV.The results corresponded with the results reported by papers published recent years,and the results provided and useful information to the clinical work.
